Jessica Prodger

Dr. Jessica Prodger is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Director of the Global Health Systems Master of Health Sciences program at Western University in Ontario, Canada.
She received her PhD from the University of Toronto and completed Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and at the Laboratory for Immunoregulation at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Prodger is a longstanding research collaborator at the Rakai Health Sciences Program in Uganda, and through this collaboration her research aims to increase inclusion of people living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa in biomedical HIV research.
She holds a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Genital Immunology and STI Prevention and her research program at Western University focuses on understanding how genital microbiota influence local host immune responses and thus susceptibility to pathogenic genital infections.
